Kate Tsui denies fighting for more screen time with Fala Chen

Kate Tsui denies fighting for more screen time with Fala Chen

TVB series Lives of Omission is currently a popular hit, making Michael Tse and Kate Tsui the target on magazine reports. It was said after Stephen Chan resumed his position at TVB, he plans to boost his favorites Wong He and Wayne Lai up for TV King, shattering Michael's dreams. Kate also asked the producer to new series Schemes of East and West to give her more screen time, so she can defeat Fala Chen. However, her plans failed and therefore she withdrew from the series.

Yesterday Michael and Kate took part in the recording of 全城喜動 in Macau. Towards the related reports, Kate had a big reaction and explained: "Never heard of such thing. This is quite interesting, I did discuss a script and role with Producer Tommy Leung, but because of schedule conflicts, I couldn't take part in the series. (You don't want to collaborate with Fala?) No such thing, why would that be so? We just completed a series together. (Is it not 'if there is her, then there is no you'?) Why would that be? TVB already has a shortage of people, so they are happy when there are more people coming. Perhaps there will be more time to earn some extra money. (Fala is your greatest opponent for this year's TV Queen title?) I know I already have 5 series broadcast this year, but I personally support Myolie Wu. I heard her performance in Queen of All is awesome."

Michael just expressed: "I don't have to comment on this, there are too many of these fabricated news. (Stephen Chan made everyone in TVB split in groups and parties again?) In fact it is not Mr. Chan splitting the groups on his own, it is the public that is helping him do so. I feel that we all have the same goal, and that is to work for TVB."

Tavia Yeung Endorses For A Six Figure Sum, Exposes Receiving Lingerie From Steven Ma

Tavia Yeung (杨怡) endorses lingerie for a six figure sum and commend that men who accompanies her to shop for lingerie are able to win her affection. Tavia also expressed thatSteven Ma (马浚伟) had ever bought lingerie as a gift to her!
Hong Kong’s popular female artiste, Tavia Yeung, was invited to endorse Sorella’s  ”B-Lifted” lingerie line. Tavia flew into Singapore yesterday (27 August 2011) and visited three shopping malls to promote the product and to interact with fans.

This is Tavia’s first time endorsing a lingerie brand. She had apparently been in talks with the lingerie company for more than a year now before finally meeting a consensus on the endorsement deal.
Tavia accepted an interview at Nex shopping mall, self-professing to be a conservative person thus of course having her misgivings and hesitating about the endorsement offer earlier on.
Tavia expressed, “Previously, to me, lingerie should only be hidden at home and wore and seen by myself. If I bought something sexy, I would keep it well after looking and didn’t dare to wear it.”
Tavia who didn’t gave much emphasis to lingerie in the past, felt that this endorsement was an iconic project as it marked her first step in surpassing herself. Furthermore, as this was also the first time the lingerie company, Sorella, was finding a spokesperson for their brand, Tavia felt that they were especially fated with each other.
Tavia said that friends and relatives around her initially thought that her endorsement of lingerie would be extremely provocative. However, upon watching the Sorella advertisement she filmed, they felt that it was very beautiful, very fashionable and modern and were thus acceptive to it.

Not intentionally showing off her sexiness
It was such a pity though that Tavia did not show any alluring “career line” (cleavage) at the events yesterday. Tavia laughed and said that there was no need to show off her lingerie as it could be seen that her confidence had already shone through.
Asked about how wide her measurements were, Tavia professed that choosing to shoot a lingerie advertisement was not meant to showcase her sexy side but rather to convey the message that a good lingerie could deliver confidence and knowledge to protect one’s body.
As for her acting job, she would go according to how the plot will be filmed but would try her best not to be overly sexy and do the necessary precautions to avoid any accidental exposure.
Tavia expressed seriously that she isn’t a person who would deliberately show off her sexy side.
Being curious about the remuneration fee received for this one year endorsement, Xinmsn [a entertainment web portal and the interviewer of this interview] asked Tavia about it. In reply to this, Tavia smiled, thanked the boss of Sorella lingerie and said, “I am extremely satisfied with the remuneration received. Hope that we will continue to have the opportunities to work together again in the future.”
After which, the lingerie company, Sorella, was willing to reveal that the endorsement fee was a six figure sum dominated in Singapore dollars.
Tavia shared with the media that her first time buying lingerie was with her mom, who had brought her there. At that time, she would pick those lingerie that were very conservative and wouldn’t protrude her chest, for example, a sports bra, as she felt embarrassed and didn’t wish to let guys see it.
However, upon growing up, she realized the importance of a lingerie and that lingerie should be chosen based on something that suits yourself. Tavia revealed that apart from consulting an expert for opinions, she would also shop for lingerie with the friends around her.
Tavia even urged those female audience present at the venue to try asking their boyfriend to shop for lingerie together as men usually have a keen sense of taste.
Tavia explained, “Men can bring us greater confidence. If a lingerie is worn well, he would sing your praises and you would be even more confident.”

[Caption: Fans arranged a birthday surprise for Tavia, Tavia happily expressed that this marked her first time celebrating her birthday in Singapore.]
As for men who might feel awkward being at the venue, Tavia smiled and extended an invitation to the male audience to accompany her to walk around the lingerie shop together. Her fans then screamed hysterically upon hearing this.
Tavia felt that since women do not mind accompanying men to select their men’s underwear then men shouldn’t feel embarrassed (shopping with women for their lingerie) too. Tavia even advised the male audience that sometimes their wives’ lingerie were meant for their eyes thus if they saw that their wives’ lingerie was already old and worn out, they could buy and give them new ones.
Hearing Tavia dishing out tips like an expert, it was believed that those types of men were especially good at winning Tavia’s affection. Then in that case, is being able to shop lingerie with her, one of her criteria when looking for a boyfriend?
Tavia agreed and said, “That would be nice and considerate. In knowing what we women need, it could pull our relationship much closer.”

Steven Ma gave Tavia Yeung a leopard print lingerie
Although Tavia had been rumored with TVB male actor Chris Lai (黎诺懿) in recent days, she expressed that she hasn’t found “someone” who was willing to accompany her to walk inside a lingerie shop.
However, Tavia revealed that she had ever received a lingerie given by a male and that person was none other than TVB colleague Steven Ma (马浚伟)!
Tavia went on to describe that at that time, Steven Ma went to Canada for work and asked her what present would she like to receive. Tavia then replied to Steven  to buy anything as she would still like it, even a hand moisturizing cream would also do. In the end, when Steven went into the shop, he chose a lingerie and a leopard print design lingerie at that!
When Steven gave her the lingerie, he said, “I don’t know your measurements and I don’t know whether you like it or not but you can go back and wear it for someone who likes you to see you in it.”
As for the fate of that special present, Tavia laughed and  disclosed, “After trying it, I placed it at the bottom of my closet.”
However, Tavia was still very happy as that was her first time receiving lingerie from a male and highly praised Steven for being a good role model to men out there.
Tavia had ever endorsed a breast enhancement product which had seen results but she didn’t wish to reveal the measurements of her current cup size and emphasized that health is her main objective when endorsing such a product.
Tavia will be proceeding over to Malaysia to promote for Sorella before flying back to Hong Kong.

Anita Yuen: “I Like to Control My Husband, Chilam Cheung”

Appearing at a promotional event last night, Chilam Cheung (張智霖) mentioned that his son, Morton, started school in August. Asked how he managed to prevent the media from photographing Morton attending school, Chilam smiled and said, “I’m so low-key and the media also spared us. Perhaps there were too many targets the paparazzi was interested in instead!”
Chilam celebrated his wife, Anita Yuen’s (袁詠儀 ) birthday earlier with a large group of friends. Chilam gave Anita her favorite gift, “I gave her a five-figure sum in cash!” (Did Anita feel bashful in accepting the gift?) “She did not act with any reserve! We have too many things at home, so giving cash was the most practical gift.
“On Morton’s birthday, I did not give him any toys either; it’s better to donate to charity instead!” Earlier, when Morton spotted a person with disabilities on the street, Morton wanted to donate money to the person. Chilam praised his son for possessing a charitable spirit.
During a television program interview, Anita Yuen admitted that she was a dominant woman (大女人) and liked to control her husband, as well as make lifestyle arrangements for him.

Kate Tsui & Ella Koon Zero Communication With Each Other

Kate Tsui (徐子珊) and Ella Koon (官恩娜) who were former rumored loves of Ron Ng (吳卓羲), were performing on the same stage yesterday. The two of them stood between three people and didn’t communicate a word to each other thus incurring speculations that they couldn’t get along with one another.
Kate Tsui professed that she wasn’t on very familiar terms with Ella but clarified that she wouldn’t snatch with Ron Ng’s current girlfriend, Viann Zhang (張馨予), for him. It was thus apparent that Kate was indeed determined to draw a clear line between her and Ron Ng.

Two of Ron Ng’s former rumored girlfriends, Kate Tsui and Ella Koon, appeared and shared the same stage for the event, Macau Shopping Festival 2011: The Entire City Moves Along (tentative title)《澳門購物節2011:全城喜動》, held in Macau yesterday.
As they were scheduled to come out at different timings, the both of them will only bump into each other at the toasting ceremony before the event officially ended.
Denies challenging Viann Zhang
Although both Kate and Ella were all smiles during the event, they didn’t exchange a single word throughout it and even stood between three other people thus incurring the media’s suspicion that they couldn’t get along with each other.
[Caption: Kate Tsui and Michael Tse shared an intimate dance together, which received much applause from the audience as a result.]
When Kate was asked by reporters how it felt to be on the same stage as Ella, she replied, “We have performed many times on the same stage lahs, I am not on very familiar terms with Ella but we have chatted before.” Kate also denied that Ella was her former rival-in-love, “Everyone has been mistaken, those news about Ron and I are only rumors, I saw that Ella’s hand was injured and I did ask after her!”

Because Kate Tsui wore an evening gown with a plunging neckline to perform, the reporter asked Kate whether she was dressed so sexily today to fight heads on with Ron Ng’s current girlfriend Viann Zhang. Kate denied the allegations and responded, “No such thing. I also didn’t do anything!”
Kate Tsui reveals that she would be traveling down to Malaysia with Ron Ng, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒), Michael Tse (謝天華) and Fala Chen (陳法拉) to hold a concert there. Kate also mentioned that she was arranged to dance a latin number with Michael. Kate laughed and said that Michael requested her to sing “Hit Me” and asked her to work hard in keeping fit.
Talking about performing on the same stage with Ron, Kate replied, “It was the organizer’s and the company’s arrangement oh! If fans specially request for us to collaborate, I don’t mind asking the director to arrange it for us. This isn’t the first time anyway (that I have shared the stage or collaborated in dramas with Ron), we retain collaborating ties.” (Reporter: Snatch him over?)  ”You guys think too much.”

Mag Lam groans about having too many social engagements
Also sharing the same stage as them , was EEG’s singer Mag Lam (林欣彤). Mag went on stage to perform a short skit and one of the scripted dialogue was expressing that she didn’t want to be a singer and that she was busy and frustrated.
After the performance, Mag was asked whether that particular dialogue channeled her inner thoughts. Mag responded, “Something like that! Because I’m still not too used to it yet.” (Reporter: Too many social engagements?) “Hong Kong singers cannot purely sing songs everyday, the commercial element is much more than the singing element, I try my best to strike a form of valance though.” (But if there’s no commercial element then there will be no income?) “If I only wanted to earn money, I could find any other occupations. Singing is my dream and I am on my way to fulfilling it now.”

Asked whether her family was worried after seeing that she has lost much weight, Mag replied, “My family said that I have grown thinner and were worried about my health.  Actually I’m okay except sometimes I feel breathless while singing. However, I have already kept trying my best to eat. I think my weight loss is because my psychological state has not gotten used to the stress.”
Mag Lam continued, “I often do not have enough time to prepare so I’m afraid that I would not be able to sing well and if I don’t sing well, I get unhappy. I have already consulted my seniors on how to relieve stress and they advised me to try putting down my “stress baggage” and that doing my best within the scope of my capabilities will already be good enough.”

Kenneth Ma is a bad man competing for TV King

Kenneth Ma is a bad man competing for TV King

Kenneth Ma is the spokesperson for a skincare center for men. For the photo shoot, Kenneth posed in Chok looks: "I want to compete with Raymond Lam and Michael Tse!" He claimed he's the 'Chok Hero'.

This year Kenneth participated in several series, and has confidence to fight for the TV King title. He said: "The award proves that audience acknowledge my performances. My recent roles were mainly evil ones, but I am not worried that this sets me with the image of a bad man. If men aren't bad, women won't like. I believe the bad man image can attract audience from different levels. The most important is that we all know I am famous for being an honest person."

Sharon Chan denies she had Stephen Chan's support to get a leading role

Accused of being in the 'Stephen Party', TVB FaDans Sharon Chan and Fala Chen took part in the costume fitting for new series Schemes of East and West with Roger Kwok. Sharon was asked if its because she's Stephen Chan's favorite that she got the opportunity to take on the leading role? Sharon said: "Not related, this series was set several months ago. (Are you a loyal member of the 'Stephen Party'?) He is a good boss, friend and my mentor. He taught me how to be a host. We aren't in any party, just being ourselves." As part of the 'Stephen Party', Sharon sweet talked and thanked Virgina Lok for helping her fight for the opportunity to portray this role. When speaking of it being a benefit to her, now that Stephen is back in TVB? She said: "Didn't think about that. I am already thankful that he's fine. I was worried for a long time because before I was a 'witness' and it wasn't convenient for me to say too much. Now it's a sign of relief. I have SMS him and he replied that everything is going well."

As for Fala, she plays Chung Mo Yim. She expressed she has been mindful of Stephen's return, asked if she's part of the 'Stephen Party'? She joked: "Before they said I was part of the Tsang Jeh party (Catherine Tsang), then the Miss Lok party (Virgina Lok), I have been in all of the parties except for the villain party." Roger Kwok said he congratulates Stephen having new hopes after a disastrous period. He said: "We were familiar for a period before, but later I had to look after my son and shoot in Mainland, so we didn't keep in touch as much."

Also, yesterday Fala started shooting outdoor scenes for the new series and coincidentally encountered Film King Chow Yun Fat, who had paid attention to her performances before. Fala was jumping in joy when she saw him and asked for a photo together to post on Weibo. She wrote: "Fat Gor stood behind me and watched me perform. I worked hard trying to concentrate, aiya, so pressuring!" Koni Lui also got to take a photo with Chow Yun Fat.

Fala Chen does not believe TVB internally set her for TV Queen

Fala Chen does not believe TVB internally set her for TV Queen

Fala Chen's role as Madam Jo in Lives of Omission has been a great hit, viewers are very concerned if she'll lives or dies in the finale. With Fala's popularity rising, it has already been rumored TVB internally reserved the TV Queen seat for her this year.

Regarding Stephen Chan's return to TVB, Fala said yesterday at the 'NBA Madness 2011' event: "We rarely keep in touch, but I am happy for him!" A magazine said Fala is favored by TVB's new boss Chan Kwok Keung and it has already been set for her to become this year's TV Queen, she modestly said: "I do not believe in gossip magazine reports. I feel Linda Chung, Kate Tsui and Myolie Wu did very well too. I only have 50% confidence and I'll be happy enough to be part of the nominations. The results depends on the votes from viewers and executives."

Asked about the Lives's finale, Fala advertised: "I filmed two endings, but the Producer can edit the series into several other different endings. Sometimes even the artists won't know, so whatever the magazine exposed, may not be the truth."

Ella Koon's song is prohibited to air in Mainland

Ella Koon's song is prohibited to air in Mainland

Yesterday Ella Koon attended a lantern festival event and expressed she has to work on Mid-Autumn Festival, but her boyfriend is already used to it. She said: "As an artist's other half, you really must be tolerant and understanding. My boyfriend really accommodates me. The day before when I participated in the basketball game, because I was an hour late, my boyfriend waited 2 hours for me before going to dinner."

Recently a new regulation was implemented in Mainland that Hong Kong artists cannot go on Mainland TV programs, Ella said: "I am not too sure, but Mainland prohibited my song Reluctant to air. I'm not sure if its because we haven't applied for permission or if its the effect of the new regulation. I am prepared to enter the Mainland market. Hong Kong and Mainland are on one land and we are one country, I hope there won't be such regulation."

Linda Chung Plays in Love Rectangle in “Lucky Father”

Yesterday, Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), Steven Ma (馬浚偉), Ha Yu (夏雨) and the rest of the cast and crew held a praying ceremony for new TVB drama, Lucky Father <當旺爸爸>. Earlier on, when Linda and Steven were shooting an accident scene for Lucky Father, a passerby thought that an actual accident had occurred and called the police. When mentioned, Linda replied that she felt that the accident scene was probably too realistic, thus misleading people to think that it was real. Linda expressed that she was shocked when the police suddenly arrived at the scene on that fateful day.
Ran Until Feet Hurt When Filming Chasing Criminals Scene
Linda will have romantic developments with three men in the drama and they include Steven MaLai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠). Will she have kissing scenes with all of them ? Linda responded, “Fathers are the main topic of this warm-hearted drama. As romantic love isn’t the primarily focus here, no kissing scenes will likely be imposed. It was rather challenging as this is the first time I’m acting as a policewoman. As I often have to film criminal-chasing scenes, I suffered from a lack of sleep but still had to film from morning until night the very day, running until my legs were numb and in pain.”
Did Linda prefer filming kissing scenes or criminal chasing scenes? Linda laughed and said, “It’s most important for the effect to be good. All three of them are good men.” (Reporter: Which one of them fits your criteria of a boyfriend?) “Each of them have their own strengths. I have the most chemistry with Steven Ma since we have collaborated five times now. Lai Lok Yi is my good friend. Edwin Siu is a nice guy. However, I will not develop with any of them. Acting is purely acting; I keep private life separate from work.”
In other news, Tracy Ip (葉翠翠) was rumored to have turned down TVB actor, Benjamin Yuen’s (韋家雄) pursuit of love. In reply to this, Tracy silently admitted to it, “We previously filmed 4 In Love together and in that drama, his character really likes me. During filming, he was just going into character. After filming, nothing happened between us. We didn’t communicate or even went on any date after that.” Tracy Ip clarified that she did not mind dating shorter guys than herself but preferred that her boyfriend was not from the entertainment circle.

Linda Chung to Resume “Miss Koo” Role in Spin Off Series

In Yes Sir, Sorry Sir <點解阿Sir係阿Sir>, Linda Chung’s (鍾嘉欣) bowling teacher character, Miss Koo, had a nervous breakdown and earth-shattering cry when she found out that she was deceived in love by Moses Chan (陳豪). Linda’s portrayal as Miss Koo was widely acclaimed, even marking her as a popular choice to win the Best Actress Award at this year’s TVB Anniversary. Although the awards results were uncertain at this point, TVB will film a spin off series derived from Yes Sir, Sorry Sir in which Linda will reprise her role as Miss Koo.
Following Michael Tse’s (謝天華) Laughing Gor character, Miss Koo was another classic creation. In November 2011, Producer Lau Ka Ho (劉家豪), will start filming the new Miss Koo series, featuring Linda Chung and Bosco Wong (黃宗澤). Linda Chung was requested to end her upcoming holiday early and return to Hong Kong in order to participate in filming of the new series.
Originally, Linda filed for two months of vacation to return to her home in Canada after completing the filming of Lucky Father <當旺爸爸>. This will allow her to take a break from the strenuous filming schedule, in which she filmed over 100 television episodes this year. Since it has been confirmed that Linda will star in Producer Lau Ka Ho’s new Miss Koo spin off series at the end of November, Linda’s vacation plans have been ordered to be shortened.
Linda was excited to reprise her role as Miss Koo, “Aside from myself, many audience members also liked the character of Miss Koo very much. It’s a very special feeling to be able to film a spin off series. Actually, this character resembers the cool teacher character found inOL Supreme <女王辦公室>. I never considered this would happen to me, that a producer would ask me to portray such a cool character. I hope to continue the bold aura of Miss Koo!” Linda hoped to follow Laughing Gor’s spin offs into the film industry as well, which would make the situation even more perfect!
The attraction of Miss Koo was undeniable. Even Charmaine Sheh (佘詩曼) praised Linda’s performance in the role, while noting that Linda had a good chance to win the Best Actress Award. Linda responded, “Of course I have confidence. However, I think I have a greater chance in winning the Favorite Female Character Award instead.”

Joey Yung loves Hacken Lee's son Ryan: "Perhaps Hacken's my future Father-In-Law

Joey Yung loves Hacken Lee's son Ryan: "Perhaps Hacken's my future Father-In-Law"

Hacken Lee, Joey Yung, Kay Tse, William Chan, Fiona Sit and many more attended the 903 All Star Basketball Game. Hacken and his son Ryan encountered the media while going to school, causing his wife having to put on makeup herself too. Hacken joked that it's like his wife had been to several press conferences in the last several days. He expressed he actually does not approve of his son being on camera, but because he has been followed closely by the media, it is not something he can control: "Just have to treat it like a practice for my son to learn about etiquette, how to face all these older 'brother and sisters' (the media)."

Asked if his son Ryan is classmates with Lucas Tse? Hacken said: "They are not in the same class." Asked if he'll bring other celebrity children together, so they can be friends? Hacken was impatient and said: "I am just responsible for bringing my son to school, little children's world, adults should not get in between them."

Hacken said Ryan does not understand what all this media talk about, but would just ask when Joey Yung has time to play with him. Usually Joey often sends short loving videos to him. Joey cried: "His son loves me! In the future I may have to call Hacken 'father-in-law'." Joey sweet talked that she hopes the Big 4 issue can be settled soon, so she can work with Hacken in TVB again.

Wayne Lai recognizes Niki Chow as his 'daughter-in-law

Wayne Lai recognizes Niki Chow as his 'daughter-in-law'

In this generation, many Chinese still avoid 'sister-brother love' and still have those old traditions deep in their bones. Back then, Wayne Lai joked that his son, Jing Kiu, must marry Niki Chow. In a blink of an eye, his son is all grown up and is as powerful as a cow.

NIKI: Actually I should call you father-in-law!

WAYNE: Of course. Before my son always came to work with me, he loves beautiful girls, once he saw Niki he was so happy and always chatted with her. I told her to marry my son.

NIKI: That time I made an empty promise and told his son to pursue me when he gets older. Can't believe he's so much older now, even taller than me!

WAYNE: In the past child brides were like that. Find a girl to raise the son and then later marry him. Pretty good!

NIKI: Do you mind your daughter-in-law older than you son? Do you mind the gender?

WAYNE: I don't mind. I respect every individual and every life. You are not in charge. In this world, who has the authority to control others?

NIKI: If my father-in-law in the future is like you, then I have no regrets!

WAYNE: Just treat me like your father-in-law, that works too!

NIKI: The problem now is that we both might be OK, but your son isn't OK with this, haha! The boy would ask me how old am I? In fact, it is your son that isn't OK with this! I don't oppose to 'sister-brother love', but our age gap is just too big.

WAYNE: In reality there is some pressure!

NIKI: If I really was with Jing Kiu (Wayne's son), I actually do mind. When he's 30 years old, I'll be 40 something. He will dislike me then, I have no confidence in myself! If he was a little older, then it's OK!

WAYNE: Love, I have gone through a lot. In fact it is really about if you match with that person or not and if you can really go down that path together. That is very important and has nothing to with the looks. No matter if you are a man or a woman, you will still get old.

NIKI: But men are playboys?

WAYNE: Yes, but the issue is if you can defeat that battle! However, men really are playboys, it's nature! Just as long as the woman does not mind him being a playboy, then there is nothing to fear.

NIKI: I still cannot get there.

WAYNE: Later! Wait until you get older, then you can!

NIKI: Sons have their own world as they get older. It's not a problem if your son is a homosexual?

WAYNE: Of course that is not a problem, as long as he likes. However, I know my son definitely won't be!

NIKI (to Jing Kiu): Little brother, do you like a girlfriend older than you?

KIU: Sure, no problem!

WAYNE: Sometimes when I see news reports saying that my son is a homosexual, if I were my son, how would I feel? Actually it's nothing much because when you love a person, you will not care what others think. Just like teaching your children, many parents like to force their kids to learn piano, art, learn this and that, but have you ever asked them if they wanted to?

NIKI: Then am I your ideal daughter-in-law?

WAYNE: Of course, you are beautiful and filial...this question, actually I don't know either, have to get to know you more first.

NIKI: Haha! Father-in-law, you really are precise!

WAYNE: I'm very honest!

Help partner memorize their dialog

NIKI: Actually shooting with him (Wayne) is a really good feeling. Anyone who had collaborated with Wayne, I never heard any of them say it wasn't good. The moment he won the award, I really was emotional. He personally doesn't mind winning or not, and if he wins he won't feel he's top of the world. He would just say thank you and continue his work as usual, not everyone can have this attitude.

NIKI: Back then when I was shooting The Gentle Crackdown with him, we had a lot of lines. Sometimes Moses Chan has trouble memorizing his lines, but Wayne helps by memorizing those lines for him. We all said that if we ever have trouble remembering our lines, we can just ask Wayne to do it. I asked you before, how come you has so little NG? You said it is related to your studies in the past.

Non-biological children has the opportunities too

WAYNE: I personally love Chinese, I am an essay man. I like to poetry because there wasn't much to play with when I was younger. My brother loves Chinese too and is very good at memorizing poems too. Perhaps it's heredity, I started memorizing poems when I was young. Between my brother and I, we started competing on memorizing poems. My first memorized poem was Li Bai'sBringing in the Wine. It is a very good practice to memorization. Sometimes it's not because I memorized all the lines that I don't NG much, but because I digested the content. Even if the lines were turned around, I can still use language to flip it back around and make the line sound reasonable!

NIKI: Like when I was shooting Lee Tim Shing's My Cruel Lover, there was actually a lot of slang in it, but the script was written very smoothly, so I was able to digest the content easily, the script is very important!

WAYNE: Haha! If Tim Gor starts a series for us, what type of series do you think fits?

NIKI: Difficult to be a Daughter-in-Law! Hahah!

WAYNE: In fact, it really is hard to think of something. However, Tim Gor does not like to shoot modern series. Costume and Pre-Modern series are much richer, modern has too many restrictions. If not, then we can do Family . Spring . Autumn too, I can be your father-in-law! Or if that doesn't work, I won't be your father-in-law, I can be your brother-in-law!

NIKI: Can we be lovers?

WAYNE: Yes, even Damien Lau and Kathy Chow (Hoi Mei) worked, what can't do?! The most important is the role, don't be talking about how I'm 20 years old or maybe about how Niki is 40 years old. Have to accommodate each other, and don't force it.

Done with outside work, back to maternal home

NIKI: Actually neither of us signed a TVB management contract, we are both very similar. We both had many acting opportunities in TVB, and so we broke the rumors in the public that only biological children have the opportunities.

WAYNE: The most important is doing your part, each person has a different path, must fit with the personal character. For me, I fit in television. I have tried working outside before, but eventually came back knowing that I am very afraid of strangers. When I was shooting a film, the location was different on a daily basis, the crew is different every time and sometimes it gets awkward. I can just tell you how it's like in TVB, the outside world, you will have to personally experience yourself. I really support Niki signing with TVB, it's better to have a manager stand out for you, would feel much more comfortable.

Niki melts the extreme cool Jing Kiu

Today, Jing Kiu is a true man (taller than Wayne), just saw him with little words and looking very cool. Seeing Niki jeh jeh (sister) again several years later, the extreme cool character instantly melts away. Jing Kiu went from being cool to blushing and from blushing to enthusiastic. He talked endlessly with Niki...no wonder Wayne could help but say: "This daughter-in-law cup of tea is well worth the drink!"

Bernice Liu to Host Program at Richard Li’s Now TV

After breaking up with Moses Chan (陈豪), Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) was also rumored to have been dumped by Richard Li’s (李泽楷) cousin Alastair Lam (林忠豪). Ending her contract with TVB and reeling in the disappointment of love, Bernice thus chose to head north and film an ancient drama as a big supporting actress.
Although Bernice had signed on with the same management company as Charmaine Sheh(佘诗曼) after leaving TVB and focused on filming dramas in China, Bernice was still lacking in her degree of fame in mainland China. Earlier on, when she was filming historical dramaMystery In The Palace <深宫谍影> in mainland China, her former co-star and ex-colleague, TV King Kevin Cheng (郑嘉颖) was in the same series as her. However, Bernice was only an insignificant character in contrast, turning from a fadan to a supporting character.
Luckily for Bernice, “Little Superman” Richard Li’s broadcasting company and now television enterprises, Now TV, was starting to operate and the most important task was to poach former TVB acting and hosting personnel. Apart from negotiating terms with Joey Leung (梁荣忠), Vinci Wong (王贤志) and other TVB deposed generals, former TVB high-ranking executive turned Now TV’s Senior Vice President Ho Lai Chuen (何丽全) even paid a hefty sum to invite Bernice over to their television station and prepared a new program for her to host this September.
It was known that after crossing over to Now TV, Ho Lai Chuen didn’t think twice about forking out plenty of money to recruit an army of artists for their new channel. Ho Lai Chuen even repeatedly contacted the actors, actresses and hosts who were abandoned by TVB, in an effort to increase their channel’s combat power against TVB.
Earlier, there were rumors that Now TV was offering a lucrative pay of $60,000 HKD per episode to Amigo Chui to lure him over. It was also known that Bernice, who had earlier fell out with TVB, was also one of the poaching candidate, tempting her with an attractive offer of $30,000 HKD per episode.
A high-ranking staff in Now TV revealed, “Our wish is to find a program host who has the relevant experience in this industry. Thus, the first choice that brings to mind was obviously the TVB artists. However, those who are still contractually obligated to TVB are very hard to poach over successfully. Hence we targeted those former TVB artists whose contracts have already ended with the company. For example, Bernice Liu and Anna Yau (丘凯敏) were some of the potential candidates that we have considered.”
Earlier on, Bernice attended a charity event. The reporter asked whether she had switched sides due to the massive filming fee offered. In reply to this, Bernice smiled and replied, “I can do anything actually! I should be hosting a program in English.” (Reporter: How much was the filming fee?) “I’m not sure actually; my manager accepted the job for me. I’m currently concentrating on filming dramas. Actually, I had a happy time trying my hand at filming dramas in mainland previously.”
Yesterday night, Bernice wore a cheongsam-inspired dress with a huge dive back to a Shu Uemura makeup event. When she was asked about switching to another management company, Now TV, after getting “dropped” by TVB, Bernice said that she didn’t feel that way but admitted that she had signed up with a new management company to seek new and different developments for her career.
Asked about rumors that she was dismissed as a TVB deposed general, upon hearing the words “deposed general,” Bernice professed that she didn’t understand the meaning behind them. The reporter then explained to her that it meant someone who was being abandoned. Bernice then responded in a can’t-be-bothered manner, “I don’t feel so. Currently I have signed on with a new management company. I will be announcing my future development direction in a while. It was my personal choice to choose the way I work and to try different things in different management companies. These includes movies and drama serials. In fact, I’m currently filming a show which was accepted by my new management and have more work to do now.” Asked whether she was afraid of offending TVB, Bernice replied, “I am professional towards each and every one of my jobs. I have been diligently working hard for many years now!”
Ava Yu (羽翹) who was at the same event as Bernice, expressed that she was recently busy filming the movie, Bauhinia Woman <紫荊俠>, which also starred Chrissie Chau (周秀娜) as the main lead. Asked for her opinions on rumors that Chrissie’s boyfriend had previously chatted with Theresa Fu (傅穎), Ava responded, “What? Isn’t Theresa together with Him Law (羅仲謙)?”
Is Now TV the Next Thing to Look Out For?
Ho Lai Chuen loves poaching former generals of TVB, which include:
Vinci Wong
Vinci Wong who had spent fourteen years of his hosting life in TVB, will be hosting Now TV’s new program, <102观星总部>, with Janis Chan (陈贝儿) and Joey Leung this September. Vinci remarked, “There’s a lot of freedom here. Back in TVB, we didn’t have much room for development. The past program in TVB only lasted thirty minutes long which was far too short to even interview the celebrity guests. Many TVB people have crossed over to here. It’s such a good feeling!”
Anna Yau
Anna Yau who had accumulated eight years of hosting and emcee experience at TVB, will be introducing beauty and fashion tips in her new show,<女皇驾到>. After crossing over to Now TV, Anna responded, “It’s all thanks to TVB for helping me with a sound foundation. There’s bigger freedom over here now so I can input my own ideas and I don’t have to follow the script anymore.”
Michael Tao
Other than hosting personnel, Ho Lai Chuen also invited acting personnel to join their team. Apart from Bernice Liu, it was known that Michael Tao  (陶大宇) was amongst those targeted. Back in his heydays at TVB, Michael Tao was addressed as a “Housewife Killer.” However, he had previously fell out with TVB over contractual problems. In 2009, Michael left TVB and went up north to advance his career. If successfully poached, the “Housewife Killer” will probably relive on the television sets in Hong Kong.
Amigo Chui
Due to his acts of drunk driving, beating of his girlfriend and driving while his license was still suspended, Amigo’s image nosedived. After getting fired by TVB, Amigo switched occupation to become a filming assistant. His current earnings as a filming assistant was at a miserable sum of $13,000 HKD thus Ho Lai Chuen probably had a high chance of succeeding with his current offer of $60,000 HKD.

Joyce Tang Unlucky in Love for the Third Time; Boyfriend French-Kisses Another Woman

After dumping less-known star, Derek Kwok (郭政鴻) last year, Joyce Tang (滕麗名) who used to be a magnet for attracting bad love cheats, finally found someone worthy in March this year. Joyce’s new boyfriend, 40-year-old Matthew Chu (朱建崑), appeared to be a stable and mature man who worked at Canon under the sales department.

Initially thinking that a boyfriend outside the entertainment circle would not be as heartless as her previous famous ex-boyfriends, Joyce was proven wrong when it was exposed that her new love Matthew was nothing short of a jerk either. Matthew had allegedly seen that he was able to effortlessly court Joyce without splurging on anything lavish. Thus, he continued to date Joyce unsuspectingly behind his other steady girlfriend of many years, enjoying a serial dating life swarmed by two women!

Last Tuesday, on August 23rd, Joyce’s boyfriend Matthew accompanied his official girlfriend for Happy Hour before leaving and locking lips with her in a taxi. The duo then alighted at Matthew’s residence in the Hung Hom district and stayed there for the night.
Last Friday, on August 26th, Matthew forked out time to accompany Joyce for a meal, singing karaoke and holding hands, clasping fingers with Joyce while shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui. However, they did not spend the night together.
The following Monday, on August 29th, the reporter showed Joyce, who tragically became the third party, a photo of Matthew locking lips with his official girlfriend. Upon seeing it, Joyce’s eyes brimmed with tears but she held them back, put up a strong front and said, “There’s nothing wrong!” Joyce completely denied that Matthew was her boyfriend. Alas, there’s nothing more painful for a woman than falling into a love trap once, twice and for the third time now!
Caught Red-Handed
On August 12, 2011 at 8 PM, Joyce Tang’s boyfriend, Matthew, drove a white BMW and appeared in Happy Valley. The woman sitting beside the driver was not Joyce but Matthew’s official girlfriend of many years. Dating two women at a time but having no vigilance, Matthew parked his car near “Laughing Gor” Michael Tse’s (謝天華) residence and alighted with his official girlfriend. The couple browsed in a convenience shop nearby before making their way back to the BMW. Inside the car, the duo smoked and chatted, laughing from time to time. However, no intimate movement was spotted yet.
Last Tuesday, on August 23rd, at approximately 7 PM, Matthew left his office in the Hung Hom district and took a taxi to cross the causeway. Matthew then alighted in the Central district and walked over to the pub nearby to meet his official girlfriend. At approximately 9 PM, Matthew, his official girlfriend (who was donned in office wear) and another middle-aged lady left the pub together. The trio later went to a nearby lane and puffed some cigarettes. After smoking, both of them bid farewell to their companion and left.
Although there were a handful of taxis to take, Matthew didn’t want to pay for a detour and dragged his official girlfriend to Queen’s Road before boarding a taxi together. The taxi then stopped at Causeway Bay’s Crowne Plaza Hotel. Matthew and his official girlfriend then went up to the rooftop bar to continue drinking and chit chat. The duo looked like they had endless topics to talk about and became more excited as they were talking and sat closer and closer to each other. However, Matthew still controlled himself hence there wasn’t any abnormal behavior.
Around 11 PM at night, Matthew and his girlfriend flagged a taxi and left the scene. After less than three minutes of getting into the taxi, Matthew immediately reached for his official girlfriend and anxiously kissed and held onto her. Within a short taxi journey of twenty minutes, they mostly french-kissed half of the time. Upon reaching his Harbour Place apartment in Hung Hom, Matthew hastily alighted and entered his unit with his official girlfriend who stayed for the night.

Swaggering Around Town
Two days later, last Friday on August 26th at around 6 PM, Matthew knocked off work on time and left with his male colleague. They boarded a car which had been waiting below their building for a long time. The trio then alighted at Tsim Sha Tsui’s Knutsford Terrace for Happy Hour. Around 8 PM, Matthew bid goodbye to his bald colleague and traveled to Prat Avenue’s Neway Karaoke Joint to meet Joyce and their friends who were already waiting inside. Matthew was on leave the next day while Joyce didn’t have any filming commitments.  At around 12:30 midnight, after the karaoke session ended, they walked over to Kimberley Road to collect their car. As it was a weekend night, the streets were still filled with people. However, the two-timing Matthew was not the least afraid and publicly linked fingers with Joyce Tang.
When together with his official girlfriend, Matthew was in charge of paying for taxi fares, drinks and meals. However, when faced with Joyce, it was a different story altogether. Not only did Matthew not drive his car to fetch her around, even when Joyce went to pay the parking fees for her car, Matthew just stood at the side and didn’t do anything, not even offering to pay for her. While Joyce was paying her parking fees, Matthew however crept up and gave her a bear hug from behind, looking every bit like a new couple who was hotly in love.
Pitiful Joyce Tang who was still oblivious to her boyfriend Matthew’s Casanova behavior, even took pains to drive in circles near Matthew’s Harbour Place residence twice, for fear that Matthew’s residency will be made known to the paparazzi. After confirming that no one was following them, Joyce finally felt at ease and dropped Matthew off. Joyce was, unfortunately, not asked to stay for the night and had to drive back home alone.
Joyce’s Bumpy Love Road
Much of Joyce Tang’s precious youth was dedicated to Marco Ngai (魏駿傑). After dating for nine years, the couple finally broke up when Marco allegedly cheated on her.
Joyce Tang, who was 35-years-old this year, entered the industry at a tender age of 19-years-old after participating in the New Talent Singing Awards in 1995. Joyce was first introduced to the television audience through A Kindred Spirit <真情> and proceeded to act in dramas Old Time Buddy <難兄難弟>, Armed Reaction <陀槍師姐>, A Step Into The Past <尋秦記> and other titles. Although she has been in the industry for many years, Joyce was still hovering around the second line actress position and has yet to see a breakthrough in her career. Her love life was also as bumpy as her career. After dating for nine years back then, Joyce and Marco split up due to Marco’s unfaithfulness. Thereafter, Joyce got together with Derek Kwok, only to learn that he already had a family of his own, which made the innocent Joyce getting labeled as a third party.
The Men in Joyce’s Life
Marco Ngai
In 1998, Joyce Tang and Marco Ngai were paired as a couple for TVB drama, Armed Reaction <陀槍師姐>. The couple soon fell in love off screen and dated for nine years, even approaching the stage of marriage. However, in 2006, when Marco went to Chongqing, China to film a drama, he dated female student Zhang Li Hua behind Joyce’s back. In May 2007, Joyce and Marco announced their break up to the outside world. Within less than half a year, Marco hastily married new love Zhang Li Hua in a flash.
Derek Kwok
In 2007, Joyce Tang filmed War of In Laws 2 <野蠻奶奶大戰戈師奶>. Her “reel love” with Derek Kwok soon turned into real love as the duo was photographed smooching in the car, dating and roaming the streets and became inseparable. Their development in love was indeed extremely stable.
However, in 2009, a reporter exposed that Derek was a “serial dater” and had even secretly conceived a daughter with a mainland woman. Derek had also allegedly kept Joyce in the dark about it and only diligently pursued her in order to ensure that he could be promoted. However, as a result of his selfishness, Joyce was innocently labeled as a third party by the outside world. Unwilling to be a third party, Joyce had no choice but to retreat from the romance.
Trying Her Best to Fight Back Tears
In her Weibo blog, Joyce referred to herself as being blissful. However, ever since meeting up to sing karaoke with boyfriend Matthew last Friday, Joyce never met up with her boyfriend again.
The previous Monday, on August 29th, Joyce started filming for the new TVB food program,<怒食街頭>, which she was co-hosting with Jazz Lam (林子善). After filming wrapped up, Joyce who was filled with loneliness, shopped along the streets of Central and Causeway Bay all by herself. At 10 PM, Joyce who was preparing to leave after getting a manicure, accepted an interview with the magazine reporter, speaking about her boyfriend’s infidelity for the very first time.
M= Magazine reporter; J= Joyce Tang
M: Last week, we captured you holding hands with your boyfriend, looking very sweet together!
J (Smiles sweetly): How pretty was that photo?
M: You guys have dated for quite some time now; will you disclose it publicly?
J (Happy to a maximum point): Wouldn’t lahs!
M: Have you guys met each other’s parents?
J (Coquettishly): Won’t say lahs, these are personal matters!
M: Do you know that your boyfriend already has a girlfriend?
J (Glances over at the photo taken of Matthew and his official girlfriend): Is it?! They are only colleagues or friends right?
M: Your boyfriend was french kissing this woman on board a taxi. They even went to his house to spend the night there.
J (Looks closely and carefully at the photo, face immediately sinks and eyes brim with tears): Okay lahs.
M: Do you know that you have become a third party?
J: There’s nothing wrong! There’s nothing wrong!
M: There’s nothing wrong even when your boyfriend and that woman (his official girlfriend) went into his house and spent the night together?
J (Went entirely silent for 10 seconds and her voice started to tremble): There’s nothing wrong wor!
M: You can condone your boyfriend cheating behind your back with another woman?
J: I have never said that he was my boyfriend!
M: Will you draw a clear line with Matthew?
J (Anger starts to erupt): Draw what clear line lahs! We are just ordinary friends so why is there a need to draw a clear line?
Joyce Tang who refused to admit that she was dating, had already betrayed herself when she previously revealed on Weibo that she was in bliss thus indirectly admitting that she was in a romance.
On August 24th, the following day after her boyfriend had cheated on her, an unsuspecting Joyce Tang who had fallen deeply in love, was all smiles when filming with Jazz Lam, Meini Cheung (張美妮) and others in East Tsim Sha Tsui for food program,<怒食街頭>.
Famous Men Who Cheated
Out of ten men, nine would definitely cheat on their other half. Regardless of whether they were attached or married, men who do not think with their brains, usually end up dragging himself and others down.
Kasey Lin
Kasey Lin (練海棠) has been married to Christine Ng (伍詠薇) for many years. Last year, he was exposed to have dined with another young lady in Central while Christine was away overseas. Kasey had allegedly even caressed the other party’s hand and drove her home with his seven-seater car.
Joey Leung
In 2005, Joey Leung (梁榮忠) went behind his then-girlfriend, Margaret Chung’s (鍾麗淇) back and made out with Queenie Chu (朱慧敏) in a car at Siu Sai Wan. After that incident, Joey’s image plummeted and carried the label of “Cheap guy.” Margaret Chung then moved out of his home and split ways with him.
Joe Ngai
During the end of 2008, Joe Ngai (倪震) was photographed seeking for pleasures in a Lan Kwai Fong night club without the knowledge of Vivian Chow (周慧敏) and cheated on her with a 22-year-old city girl Zhang Mao. After which, he received Vivian’s forgiveness and in a dramatic twist of events, got married with her.
Chu Pui Hing
In 2007, ex-RTHK radio broadcasting chief Chu Pui Hing (朱培慶) went to the Must Kawa nightclub in Causeway Bay. When leaving, he was photographed holding onto mainland stripper, Coco. Swarmed by reporters and photographers, Chu Pui Hing immediately hid behind Coco. It was not a pretty sight indeed.
Ever since she ended her relationship with TVB less-known star, Derek Kwok, in August 2010, Joyce’s colleagues from TVB and her outside friends eagerly arranged matchmaking dinners for her, hoping to help her find another romance in life. After getting hurt numerous times, Joyce tred her steps cautiously until she met Matthew Chu, who worked in a sales department at Canon. The chanced meeting at a friend’s luncheon successfully stirred up Joyce’s interest in Matthew.
Often wearing proper business suits, Matthew appeared gentle and refined. It was also a plus point that he possessed a sense of humor, making him extremely compatible with Joyce. Although he was just an average white-collar worker, Joyce did not mind. Dating for many months now, Matthew and Joyce were starting to get photographed by the paparazzi. However, despite constant prompts from his colleagues, Matthew still refused to admit his relationship with Joyce, only replying, “Joyce and I are only friends!”
Some of Matthew’s colleagues already knew that Matthew had a long-time girlfriend for many years and didn’t feel a tinge surprised about Matthew’s involvement with Joyce Tang, “Matthew’s overall formal office wear image when meeting clients is really deceptive. Those who do not know him might think that he is a mature and stable man. On the contrary, Matthew loves to club and have fun. Those who are notorious for clubbing in night clubs, they all know him. Matthew often clubs three to four days a week! He often goes for quick affairs behind his official girlfriend’s back. But I must really hand it to him. Who would have thought that he was so highly-skilled to even snag a TVB actress!”
Joyce Tang, who was romantically in love, became a spokesperson for a breast enhancement salon earlier on. Initially thinking that she was lucky both in love and in career but alas, it was all just a facade. In May this year, Joyce and Matthew returned to Hong Kong after a trip to Bangkok. They publicly displayed acts of affection at the airport and Joyce was smiling from ear to ear, clearly smitten.
When dating, Joyce Tang only cared about feelings and not money. Since he didn’t have to spend much while out on dates with Joyce and with bragging rights of having an actress as a girlfriend, Matthew naturally wouldn’t give up this rare opportunity. Tough luck on Joyce though for mistakenly thinking that she finally attained a golden bachelor boyfriend, even taking no chances to protect this romance by denying that she’s dating anyone, only to discover that it was happiness for nothing. Turning into a third party overnight, fate was indeed cruel for playing tricks on Joyce Tang.
Other Muddleheaded Celebrities
Victory and love often make people lose their senses. Unscrupulously spoiling other people’s romance just to get what they want, putting a label of “foxy vixen” on them is indeed justifiable, such as Sonjia Kwok (郭羨妮). However, in the sea of love, besides the existence of foxy vixens, there are also ignorant and naive women too. Initially thinking that true love was in their grasp, only to find out later that the other party already has a steady girlfriend, completely display muddleheadedness. Such was the life of people like Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣).
Sonjia Kwok

In 2006, Sonjia Kwok allegedly got romantically involved with Michael Tao (陶大宇) during the filming of TVB’s police-themed drama, On The First Beat <學警出更 2>. At that time, Michael Tao’s wife, Wong Wai Po, publicly criticized Sonjia in front of the media, saying, “Sonjia Kwok is the third party!”. After one year, Michael and his wife officially divorced and Sonjia was labelled as a “vixen,” plummeting her image down to the lowest point of her career. In 2008, Michael Tao amended his ways and broke things off with Sonjia Kwok. Thereafter, Sonjia got together with mainland martial arts choreographer, Zhu Shaojie, and even got engaged to him.
Linda Chung
In June 2011, Linda Chung was exposed to have secretly dated lawyer and former classmate,Felix Lee (李傲富). However, she later found out (through the media) that her boyfriend was two-timing her with another woman. As it turned out, Felix didn’t make things clear with Linda that he already had a long-time lawyer girlfriend, Joyce, and was clearly dating Linda behind Joyce’s back too. As a result, Linda unknowingly became a third party.

Tomboy Joyce Tang's new sexy image makes heads turn

HONG KONG: Hong Kong actress Joyce Tang Lai Ming is making heads turn lately. Thanks to a series of sexy breast enhancement ads, fans are now looking at the actress in a different light.

Known for her tomboy image to many, the 35-year-old underwent three months of breast enhancement treatments, courtesy of a breast enhancement salon of which she is the ambassador.

"Everyone always thought of me as a tomboy, but I have a more womanly figure now. The audience can have a change of viewpoint in me knowing that I am feminine too," said Tang.

Now, the starlet is flaunting her increased cup size – from a 32A to a 33C – for the cameras.

During a commercial shoot, the celebrity was initially worried that she might accidentally expose herself while performing stunts on a trampoline clad in a sexy black bra and tight pants.

"It was an unduly worry as there wasn't even a single slip-up. I felt extremely confident when doing any movements!"

Tang revealed that there are perks to the enhancement, literally.

For one, she's ditching the extra padding or tapes to help create the illusion of a bigger cup size for her sexier roles.

Tang said although she hit puberty earlier than her peers, her figure hasn't changed much since. While she did not envy her more "well-developed" classmates when she was younger, it affected her confidence as she got older.

The TVB actress will begin shooting a new drama "What Lies in Marriage & Separation" come October alongside Eddie Cheung and Kiki Sheung.

On her love life, the actress is reportedly dating a 40-year-old man outside of showbiz.

She'd had uneventful love relationships in the past with fellow Hong Kong actor Marco Ngai and Derek Kwok Ching Hung. Both men married and became fathers recently.

Sheren Tang to Sacrifice Filming “War and Beauty 2″ for “Rosy Business 3″?

TVB’s two big trump card dramas, War and Beauty <金枝慾孽> and Rosy Business <巾幗梟雄> not only brought TVB’s ratings skyrocketing through the roof but also won several awards and launched the careers of several fadans and actors back then. Both dramas were renowned for their titles and the benefits they brought to their cast.
Producer Jonathan Chik (戚其義) and Lee Tim Sing (李添勝) have invariably decided to start filming continuing installments for War and Beauty and Rosy Business respectively. As these two series rocketed their previous cast to fame, many fadans and actors fought to stand out, hoping to snatch a role in them.
As for these two dramas, Sheren Tang (who must make a good decision and choose one over the other) was currently busy filming  dramas in mainland and diligently “digging gold” there. Furthermore, Sheren’s role as Concubine Yu Fei in War and Beauty was extremely likable among the audience and had received rave reviews for her performance. However, Sheren still failed to clinch the Best Actress award at that year’s TVB Anniversary Awards ceremony, which left her feeling dispirited and thus still unhappy over it.  Allegedly, Sheren didn’t display a positive reaction towards re-joining the War and Beauty drama team to appear in the sequel. In contrast though, Sheren immediately signed up for the third installment of Rosy Business without a word since the first two series garned her TV Queen awards two consecutive years in a row.
Sheren Tang’s Yu Fei Is Indispensable

The 2004 TVB blockbuster hit, War and Beauty, was re-broadcasted during the midnight slot in Hong Kong. The average ratings were at 7 points (approximately 430,000 viewers tuned in). Its force was indeed extremely tyrannical! In recent days, TVB carried out plans to shoot a sequel to War and Beauty. Executive Producer Jonathan Chik declared that the original cast would return to act in the series. However, Gigi Lai (黎姿) was currently enjoying life as a socialite after getting married to wealthy businessman Ma Ting Keung (馬廷強) and had since retired from showbiz, more or less confirming that she will no’t be returning for the sequel.
As for Bowie Lam (林保怡), he didn’t renew his contract with TVB. Hence, the original cast ofWar and Beauty who have temporarily been confirmed for the sequel were Charmaine Sheh(佘詩曼), Moses Chan (陳豪) and Maggie Cheung (張可頤). Even if new cast members such as  like Ada Choi (蔡少芬), Tavia Yeung (楊怡),  and Kate Tsui (徐子珊) were added, the most pressing issue at hand was whether Sheren Tang’s Yu Fei would re-join the War and Beauty cast.
Back then, Sheren’s performance as Concubine Yu Fei was highly raved by everyone hence the sequel couldn’t do without such a prominent character. However, it was no easy task for producer Jonathan Chik if he wanted Sheren back in his sequel. It was known that golden scriptwriter,Cheung Wah Biu (張華標), will return to TVB in October and had already been working on the script together with Tim Gor, thus confirming plans for Rosy Business 3. Although Rosy Business 3 will only be starting filming next April, War and Beauty 2 will start filming early next year. The production time for both series was closely knitted together, thus the chance of Sheren accepting both dramas was slim.
Sheren Tang Already Had a Consensus With Tim Gor
Back in 2004, despite her role as Yu Fei in War and Beauty receiving high praise from everyone, Sheren Tang only won a subtle “Best Supporting Actress” pork award. This allegedly left her with grudges even until today. On the other hand, the first and second installment of Rosy Business made Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) and Sheren Tang TV King and Queen respectively and for two consecutive years in a row. Wayne also experienced a dramatic career revival through Rosy Business, which enabled him to bring along his wife for shooting of advertisements.
Last year, Sheren accepted filming for mainland drama, New My Fair Princess<新還珠格格> for a shooting fee of $4 million Yuan. In recent days, apart from rushing to promote New My Fair Princess in mainland, due to her rising popularity, Sheren was also busy filming another mainland drama, City of Falling Snow <傾城說>for a filming fee of $50,000 RMB per episode.
An insider revealed, “Actually, both Ah Chik (Jonathan Chik) and Tim Gor contacted Sheren but she said she had to assess the situation first. In fact, Sheren had previously reached a consensus with Tim Gor. Although filming in TVB would mean a low pay but Rosy Businessbrought Sheren the TV Queen award for two consecutive years.  Hence, Sheren had already privately told Tim Gor that she would definitely help him.
“As for War and Beauty, Sheren might not act in it again because firstly, taking time off her mainland filming is tough and secondly, Sheren herself said that this drama ddid not “bring luck” (老黎) to her. We also truly understand that in actual fact, Sheren really minds about not being awarded the Best Actress Award at that time.”
Two Trump-Card Productions
In the last few years, TVB’s two blockbuster dramas, War and Beauty and Rosy Businessraked in remarkable ratings and was highly acclaimed in Asia. Those who had participated in the dramas experienced a massive surge in their popularity and even swept away all the TVB awards. This made Poducers Jonathan Chik and Tim Gor known as the generals that brought prosperity to their cast.
It was known that Tavia’s turn as a villain in Beyond the Realm of Conscience <宮心計>was exceptionally good, thus catching the eye of Jonathan. As a result, Tavia was arranged to act in a heavy-weight role for War and Beauty 2.
To repay her gratitude to Tim Gor, it was known that Sheren had already agreed to take time off filming in mainland to accept filming for Rosy Business 3.
A Recap of War and Beauty and  Rosy Business’ Startling Success
War and Beauty
At the 2004 TVB Anniversary Awards, Sheren Tang attended in high hopes of winning the Best Actress Award, only to be left feeling disappointed when she and Chan Hung Lit (陳鴻烈) were only awarded the Best Supporting Actress and Actor awards respectively. Sheren was spotted with an expression of unhappiness.

Bosco Wong wants praises not awards

Bosco Wong wants praises not awards

In Lives of Omission, Bosco Wong plays "Bai Co", a member in the triad who gets crippled by his leader and forced to lick under the shoe. To rescue Bai Co, his girlfriend (Kate Tsui) sleeps with her mentor. The role Bai Co has blood and tears, stands out more than the leading actor 'Laughing' Michael Tse. No wonder even TV King Wayne Lai supported Bosco to become the unexpected TV King.

Didn't resist from licking under shoe

Bosco said: "First I have to thank the Producer for giving me the Bai Co role. I know the public responses isn't bad and that there are over a million viewers on the official site chasing after the series. Honestly, I don't feel like I ever stole Laughing's limelight, since he is the one who led all of us. It is just that there are many elements and turning points for Bai Co, like the intense kiss scenes with Kate Tsui and forced to lick under the shoes. If there wasn't Laughing there to battle with him, then it won't be fun to watch. (Did you add the licking part yourself?) It was part of the script. I didn't really deny from doing it. At the time, I only licked when there was a clear tape on the shoe, considered pretty clean. (Does it feel awful?) Feeling awful is very appropriate, that moment my role was really feeling awful."

Passionate kiss scenes with Kate, no embarrassment

This time, TVB gave Bosco generous treatment with intense kiss scenes with Kate in almost every episode. Bosco said: "No, the producer wanted a different feeling for the two pairs of lovers in the series. Kate and I are passionate. When we meet, we kiss and pull hair. Michael Tse and Fala Chen are basically the opposite. (Which type are you in real life?) Not that passionate. I won't kiss every time we meet, and definitely won't pull her hair. (Never had feelings?) No, in real life I treat Kate like a guy. We have no embarrassment. (Did rumored girlfriend Myolie Wu supervise the set?) Nobody did. Also, nobody will know in advance because TVB scripts can be found anywhere."

May not be in the film version

As for being supported to become the unexpected TV King winner? Bosco said frankly he has never thought about awards even until this day. "As long as there are good public responses, that is better than any award. I hope to hear praises from everyone or perhaps praises from people in the industry." When asked about the Lives of Omission film version starting late September, will Bai Co's story continue on? Bosco said: "We won't know the ending in the TV series version yet. I just know we filmed an open ending. We will have to see how the producer edits it. (Do you have a schedule to shoot the film?) I still have two series on hand that I have to shoot. I know they asked me about my schedule before. After all, the leading role is still 'Laughing', we want to find out about the finale of the series." Generally speaking, Laughing definitely won't die. As for Bai Co, there is a 50% chance that he'll die.
